How To train with your JAWLINER® Mewing Ring
A simple mewing exercise instruction for the JAWLINER® Mewing Ring
Step by step instruction:
Step 1 - Start
Make sure to put the Mewing Ring with the text "JAWLINER Mewing Ring" facing down, towards your tongue, into your mouth.
then press your tongue against the upper palate and feel the mewing ring between them.
The ring should fit smoothly against the upper palate with the pressure of the tongue bending it into a slightly curved position.
With the help of the Mewing Ring you will soon feel for yourself where the Mewing Ring fits best. The further it is placed on the front part of the tongue, the easier the exercises are. If you place it further back, the exercises will be harder and you will need more strength from the tongue muscle.
Step 2 - Suction Mewing
Now that the ring is already between your tongue and the upper palate, try swallowing once in this position.
A vacuum should form between the ring and the upper palate.
Hold this position for at least 5 minutes. If the vacuum weakens, swallow again.
Support the strength of the vacuum by actively pressing the tongue against the upper palate.
Check that you are exerting enough force on the upper palate by opening the lower jaw slightly. The tongue should still stick to the upper palate thanks to the vacuum created by the Mewing Ring.
Congratulations, you practice the original Mewing tongue position :)
1. Exercise - Swallow and Hold
Swallow once so that a vacuum is formed. Now hold this position for 5 minutes.
Make sure that the mewing ring is always in a curved position on the upper palate.
Do not try to swallow again during these 5 minutes, but only support the exercise with the force of the tongue.
To increase the exercise, you can extend the time by another 5 minutes or you can go to the next higher level of difficulty of the mewing ring and repeat the exercise.
The mewing ring will now be harder to bend and you will need more tongue force to keep it bent on the upper palate.
2. Exercise - Tongue Pressure Exercise
Guide the Mewing Ring onto the back of your tongue, then press it against the upper palate and bend it as far as it will go.
Then release and repeat the exercise for another 30 times.
This is the ideal exercise to strengthen your tongue muscle.
When you feel ready, move to the next level of Mewing Ring difficulty and repeat the exercise.
